Privacy policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Elevate Online Life Coaching, operated by Natasha Purton (ABN 41 165 508 001) (“we”, “us”, “I”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Please read it together with our Coaching Terms and Conditions.
1. Information we collect
- Contact and booking details: your name, email address, phone number (if provided), state or territory, the package you choose, your payment option and your appointment times.
- Coaching information: your goals and anything you choose to share before or during the discovery call and sessions, plus brief session notes your coach keeps.
- Signed agreement records: when you sign your coaching agreement online we record your details, your drawn signature, your typed name, the date and time of signing, your IP address, your browser type, and the version of the agreement and terms you agreed to. This is evidence that the agreement was signed and by whom.
- Payment information: payments are processed by our payment provider. If you choose a payment plan, the provider stores your card securely so it can charge each instalment. We see confirmation of payments, but we never see or store your full card number.
- Website information: basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools used by our website host and booking provider.
You don’t have to give us your information, but without contact, booking and agreement details we can’t book or deliver coaching. You can use a first name only for the free discovery call if you prefer.
2. Sensitive information
Coaching is not counselling or therapy, and we don’t ask for health information. Sometimes you may choose to tell us something sensitive, such as information about your health or wellbeing, for example so we can check that coaching is the right support for you. We collect sensitive information only with your consent, use it only to provide your coaching or to suggest more suitable support, keep it confidential, and don’t disclose it except as described in section 5 or where the law requires.
3. How we collect it
We collect information directly from you: when you book a call or session, sign your coaching agreement, pay, email us, or talk with us in sessions. We don’t buy personal information from third parties.
4. How we use your information
- To book, deliver and follow up on the discovery call and coaching sessions
- To prepare, record and keep your signed coaching agreement
- To take payments, including payment plan instalments, and send confirmations, receipts, reminders and rescheduling links
- To respond to your enquiries, feedback and complaints
- To improve our services and website
- To meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations
We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
5. Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as much as they need. These include our scheduling provider (Calendly), payment processor (Stripe), video platform, email provider and website host. Some of these providers store data overseas, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers that have their own privacy and security obligations.
If coaching isn’t the right fit and we suggest another service, we share your information with that service only if you ask us to. We may also disclose information where the law requires or allows it, including where there is a serious threat to someone’s life, health or safety.
6. Confidentiality of sessions
What you share in sessions stays confidential. Sessions are not recorded unless you ask for a recording and give written consent. The legal limits in section 5 apply.
7. Storage, security and how long we keep it
- We store information in secure, password-protected systems with access limited to your coach, and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access or disclosure.
- Signed agreements and session notes are kept for 7 years after your coaching ends, in case of a query or dispute. Financial records are kept for 5 years, as tax law requires.
- After that, we securely delete or de-identify your information.
- If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you as soon as practicable and explain what we are doing about it.
8. Cookies
Our website and embedded booking tools use cookies for essential functions and basic analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features, such as online booking, may not work properly.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, including your signed agreement, or ask us to correct it, by emailing natashapurton75@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. If we can’t give you access, we will explain why in writing.
10. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, email natashapurton75@gmail.com. We will acknowledge it within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
